Christian received her Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Biological Sciences from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, where she was the recipient of the Jia Ju Zhan Memorial Research Scholarship. Christian completed an internship with the Water Center for the Humid Tropics of Latin America and The Caribbean in Panama in 2009. She received her Master of Science in Environmental Science from Alabama A&M University in 2013. Christian joined USRA in 2020 as a visiting earth scientist.
Christian currently works on the integration of remotely sensed environmental data into the USGS Sparrow water quality model and is a mentor for the Center for Applied Atmospheric Research and Education research interns. Christian’s research interests include the use of geospatial and remotely sensed data to aid in environmental management and decision making. Her passions include teaching, technology, and the outdoors.
